Martin Luther King Day 2025 marked the 10th anniversary of Coach Vince Miller Day at Frankford High School.  Each year, the girls and boys’ basketball teams play in a doubleheader against Sanfofa Freedom Academy Charter School. 

Coach Vince Miller was the boys Varsity basketball coach for 27 years (1972-1998) and was the leader of the back-to-back championship teams in 1988 and 1989.  Coach Miller passed away in February 2009, but his legacy lives on with the students and athletes he taught and mentored.

Each year, many Alumni attend the games to cheer for our current student-athletes and connect with other alumni.

Frankford HS girls’ basketball team was awarded the win due to a forfeit by Sankofa.  Frankford HS boys’ basketball team lost to Sankofa 66-41.  

Lewis Leonard (class of 2006) received the Frankford High School Athletics Coach Vince Miller Alumnus Award.
