Amanda Gray Hyler (March 24, 1870- June 29, 1957) was an entrepreneur, pharmacist, civic worker and Civil Rights Activist. She was born in Atchison, Kansas, attended public schools in Kansas and married at age 23 in 1897 to Pharmacist Arthur S. Gray (1869-1917). The couple moved to Washington, D.C. where she attended Howard University. She obtained her graduate pharmaceutical degree in 1903.
